Interview With Metro3D- 1/11/00
We do it for you so you don't have to do it.  Thanks to our friends at Metro3D for participating in our interview.   This interview that we managed to snag for you is going to be insipiring, joyful, and informing.  Ok, so maybe its only informative, but here it goes.  Metro3D is orange and we are blue.  Read on.
Back to the Front. Oh Yah!

GB Online:  Metro3D has produced top-notch Game Boy games, such as Chase HQ: Secret Police, which are quite the talk in the Game Boy community.  Could you share with us what Metro3D has in store for Game Boy in the close future?

Metro3D: We will soon announce a new top-down racer.

GB Online: Why did Metro3D chose the games it did (Chase HQ: Secret Police, Puzzle Master, and Classic Bubble Bobble) to start its venture in the Game Boy world?

Metro3D: Our first internally developed game was Puzzle Master.  CHQ and BB are both Japanese games we published in the US.

GB Online: Is there any chance Metro3D will produce a first person shooter like Quake, a game that is just begging for a chance on Game Boy Color?

Metro3D: We will for the GBA.(Game Boy Advance)

GB Online: Do the programmers of the games at Metro3D have most of the input on the game they are producing?

Metro3D: Yes.  It is a full team effort.

GB Online: Will any of your future games include new Game Boy Color's features or accessories such as the rumble pack?

Metro3D: It is really hard, since as a 3rd party, we have to pay a huge amount to add features like rumble.  We have enough money now to add savegame to our future games.

GB Online: Does any chance exist, Metro3D will one-day manufacture accessories for Game Boy?

Metro3D: Unlikely.

GB Online: And, one final question.  Does Metro3D see an extensive life and a lasting potential in Game Boy?

Metro3D: It is hard to say.  I like the GBC, but I look forward to developing for the GBA
